Sarah Jane Rowland and Elisha Hendrix
Sarah Jane Rowland was the third child and eldest daughter of William Rowland and Elizabeth Brown. She was born on 2 March 1851 in Rutherford County and died on 19 August 1870, also in Rutherford County. She married Elisha W. Hendrix on 29 March 1870; he was the son of Thomas L. Hendrix and Elizabeth Prince. Sarah Jane is buried at Rowland Hill Cemetery in the southwestern portion of the county; her tombstone reads: "Sarah J. Hendrix, consort of E.W. Hendrix, and daughter of William and Elizabeth Rowland,2 Mar 1851-19 Aug 1870."
Sarah Rowland and Elisha Hendrix had no children.
