William Thrasher and Sarah (last name unknown)
Our Thrasher family emigrated to America probably from England in the 1760s, possibly around 1764. At this point, we do not know their town or county of origin in England. We know from Isaac H. Thrasher's application for a War of 1812 pension that his father was named William, although we do not know his mother's name; other researchers on Ancestry.com have identified William's wife as Ruth Cloud (although they state that she was born in Pennsylvania, which seems unlikely unless she was William's second wife -- cf. information for Isaac H. Thrasher Sr.).
