Elam Puckett and Elizabeth Adams
We believe Elam was the second son of Lodwick Puckett and Kesiah Blankenship. Judging from the 1850 and 1860 census, Elam was born about 1797 in Virginia, probably in Chesterfield County. He married Elizabeth Adams in 1818 in Rutherford County; we do not know the names of her parents.
The couple and their family continued to live in the southern Rutherford/northern Bedford County area until sometime in the 1850s, when they apparently moved to Louisiana with one of their sons. In 1860 -- the last census in which we have found them -- they were enumerated with J.E. Puckett in Ouachita Parish Louisiana.
We have no further information about this family.
