Luke Puckett and Lucy Ann Michael
We believe Luke may be the eldest son of Lodwick Puckett and Kesiah Blankenship. He was probably born between 1793 and 1800, most likely in Chesterfield County VA. He married Lucy Ann Michael in 1818 in Rutherford County TN, where they were enumerated in both the 1820 and 1830 censuses. He is no longer in Tennessee by 1840; however, a Luke Puckett is enumerated in HIckman County KY in that census year with a family that generally fits the composition of the 1830 Luke Puckett household.
By 1850, we can no longer find Luke as a head of household; this is consistent with Lodwick Puckett's 1853 will, which bequeaths property to the "Luke Puckett's children", suggesting Luke had already died by that time. A Lucy Puckett is enumerated in Hickman County, along with several apparent children; several houses away are households headed by Joseph Michael (38, VA) and Milly Michael (50, VA). In 1860, Lucy A. Puckett is again enumerated in Hickman County with her two youngest children.
We have no further information on this family.
