Unknown Rowland and Eliza Beesley
In the 1850 census, Eliza Rowland was living in the household of William W. May and his wife, Sarah Beesley May and may have been Sarah's widowed sister. In 1860, she had moved out and was living independently with three of her children; we have not yet located her in 1870. In 1880, she was enumerated with her son, Samuel H. Rowland, and his family in Marshall Co TN. Eliza was born around 1814 in Tennessee and died sometime after 1880. No marriage record has yet been located in Rutherford or Williamson County for her.
The only marriage record between a Rowland and a Beasley that we have found to date was a Davidson County marriage between Jole Rowlin and Lavina/Palina Beesley in 1835.
