Summary of the will of Michael Roark

Michael Roark’s will, signed 24 Aug 1834 and proved in Hawkins Co TN court in 1839, listed the following: To his children James Rork, Sally Combs, Michael Rork, Rebecca Tunnel, Betsy Self, Sally Reynolds, Julia Kirkpatrick, and Polly Morrisett, he bequeathed one dollar each "and no more". Polly Morrisett was given permission to live on his plantation after his death as long as either he or his wife survived, "should she choose to do so". He left the plantation to his wife (not named) for her lifetime, then bequeathed the estate to his "well beloved grandson" James Rork (identified as the son of John Rork), and to his "well beloved son" John Rork.
