Will of George Branham:

Know all men by these presents that I George Branham of Clinton County state of Kentucky being of sound mind and disposing memory do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills heretofore made.

1st. After my decease I will and devise to the children of my late daughter Margaret Wright who was the wife of John G. Wright the following described tracts of land. Viz: the tract I bought of James R. Stinson the tract I bought at public sale, the property of John Corsan (?), the tract I bought of Samuel Sandusky. The tract I bought of Reuben Burnett. also a part of my home farm bounded as follows, beginning at a cedar on the mountain near where James Branham now lives, corner to the land bought of B.H. Emerson, thence 100 poles to the Peach Orchard Spring. Thence up the mountain to a large dead poplar old corner of John Wright. Thence up the mountain to a walnut black oak and white oak corner to land bought of William Cross and John Ferguson thence with the mountain around to the beginning, including the upper end of my old farm, and the house where I formerly lived.

2nd. I give unto the children of Barnebas Branham the tract of land I bought of A.G. Long, the tract I of (sic) E.M. Grider, the tract where S.W. Beard now lives, a part of the W.W. Sublette farm, and the tract where A.J. Latham now lives, the same bought of Anderson Graham. This is in addition to money paid for and advanced to my son B. Branham in his lifetime amounting to twenty two hundred dollars exclusive of interest for which I hold notes, receipts and accounts, and the same is to be given up.

3rd I give to my daughter Polly Burchett that part of my home farm on the west side of Albany the Griders Ferry Road, part of the Allen Smith farm, also one note of hand executed by her late husband J.C. Burchett for two thousand dollars, with interest from the 1st of January 1860, also one note of hand of one thousand dollars with interest from the 4th of January 1860.

4th. I give to my wife Ellen Branham for her use and benefit during her natural life, the following described part of my home farm. Beginning at a stone in the road near P.W. Hopkins house also his corner thence with the Albany and Griders Ferry Road to the land of O.H. P. Snow, and with his line to Andrews line. Thence around to the beginning corner of the land devised to the heirs of Margaret and J.G. Wright, including the land bought of Lewis Perkins heirs, thence with the lines to the Wright heirs land to the black walnut and white oak corner on top of the mountain. And with my lines to P.H. Hopkins line and with the same to the beginning, and at the death of my said wife Ellen Branham the last named tract or parcel of land is to descend to my daughter Polly Burchett. I also give to my wife Ellen Branham all my cash after payment of my just debts and funeral expenses, all my notes, accounts, and all other personal estate, not otherwise disposed of, for her use and benefit and any sum of money or any property on hand at her death is to be equally divided between my aforesaid heirs.

5th. I hold a promissory note on A.J. Latham who married one of the children of Margaret Wright for $82.02 with interest from the 10th Feby 1855, and I derect that in the division of the land devised to the children of the said Margaret and J.G. Wright that said note with interest be counted against said A.J. Latham and wife that is to say their interest of said land shall be worth the amount of said note less than the other children.
