Arthur Gough and A. Frances Torrile (?)
Arthur Gough was enumerated with his parents, Peter Gough and Letitia Naulty, in the 1850 census but had moved away by 1860; we have had no luck so far locating him in any subsequent censuses. By 1866, he had married, although apparently not in Hazleton (no marriage record for him appears in the marriage register at the family's parish church of St. Gabriel's); however, his son, Peter Gough, was baptized at St. Gabriel's in Hazleton in 1866. We have no further information on Arthur or his family.
An Arthur Gough (born in Ireland) served in the Civil War from Pennsylvania, but we do not know whether this is the same person. We continue to research this.
